Character name: Junko Enoshima
Age: 19ish
Canon: Dangan Ronpa
Canonpoint: Just after her death in Danganronpa 1

Background:

http://danganronpa.wikia.com/wiki/Junko_Enoshima

Personality:

As a youth, Junko found the world to be a boring place, a conclusion she came to as a result of her natural superhuman analytical abilities. She associated this boring state with the concept of of hope, as if things were peaceful—if humanity hoped for a better tomorrow—there was no chance for any interesting things to happen. To this end, she became obsessed with the concept of despair and inserting it into a system to cause chaos and mayhem—things that defied prediction, something that brought a degree of satisfaction to Junko that she could not find anywhere else. This would also be the world view that made her of interest to Izuru Kamukura, who, due to his existence as the apotheosis of human capability, saw the world as a boring and stagnant place as well.

As she grew up, Junko devoted herself to finding ways to inflict despair not only on others but on herself as well, even going to so far as to try and kill her twin sister Mukuro on several occasions just to see what it would feel like. The things she would do in pursuit of despair are often extreme—but with only a very small number of exceptions, Junko has only ever acted as an enabler and facilitator, typically using her power of analysis to play out any possible scenario in her head beforehand, and then lets those affected play out her plans to the letter. We see this both in the first Mutual Killing Game, in which she was able to make an entire school class kill one another through simple blackmail, and in the events of the first Danganronpa, where she worked almost entirely through the facade of Monokuma as she sat and waited for her classmates to off each other.

Junko’s lust, for lack of a better word, for despair drives her to do things that are both reckless and often illegal on a small scale as well. We see this during the events of Danganronpa/Zero in which she had a childhood friend of hers, a neurologist named Yasuke Matsuda, erase her memories. Upon this blank slate, Junko constructed a totally new personality named Ryouko, who she tormented to the point of actually killing her off just for the sake of the despair it would bring herself. She would then do the same in killing Yasuke, the only one for whom she had ever held romantic feelings, but not before appropriating the Ultimate Neurologist's research for her own purposes as she used the techniques he had devised to erase not only the memories of the 78th class of Hope's Peak Academy, those who would participate in her second Mutual Killing Game, but also Izuru Kamukura's memories of the 77th class, those who became the first members of Ultimate Despair, Junko's worldwide following. We see her again borrow the techniques of another Ultimate, when she made use of Ryota Mitarai’s skills in the animation field to produce videos that would brainwash anyone who watched them into the same state of mind as Junko herself—predisposed to embracing despair as a world view.

Junko is also defined by a strange habit of becoming rather bored of things very quickly, a side-effect of her Ultimate Analytical abilities. The things that have come to bore her range from using a taser modified to be fatal, narrating her own life as if it were a book, and even cycling through different personalities at the drop of a hat. Besides Ryouko, mentioned above, at various points during the series she adopts some of the following: a morose and hopeless downer of a girl who is always negative, a loud and extremely foul-mouthed persona, a royal demeanor in which she looks on others, and acting as if she herself was Monokuma (which is usually accompanied by her holding a plushie of the infamous bear). In a similar fashion, she will also do things completely on a whim simply to see how they make her feel, such as when she killed Mukuro early in Danganronpa 1, or earlier, when she attempted to stab her sister with an ice pick while the two were alone together in the back of a limousine and assault her with a knife on numerous other occasions. In many ways, Junko is so dangerous because she is pretty much willing to do anything to chase her desire for despair and it is nearly impossible to pin down what exactly she will do next within any sort of logic or reason, as she lacks both when choosing her own actions, and concepts such as logic and reason are directly contradictory to the nature of despair as perceived by Junko.

Junko also displays an odd affinity for referencing and/or bringing up pop culture at random moments. Over the course of the series, she mentions such well known titles as Dragon Ball Z, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Bayonetta, Home Alone, and several other games, movies, and anime, all of which serves only to reinforce how odd and scatterbrained her way of thinking is at times.

Junko is also noted as being very intelligent, charismatic, and physically fit, having been shown in Danganronpa 3 to be able to take down the Ultimate Boxer all by herself. We also see people drawn to her as a leader and person of interest, as even those who weren’t influenced by her despair-inducing tape, such as the Warriors of Hope in Ultra Despair Girls, still saw Junko as a figure they could look up to and in whose name they could justify taking action.

In summary, Junko is a scatterbrained yet intelligent young woman who has devoted her entire life to despair and would do anything both to experience it herself, as she did in Danganronpa/Zero with the Ryouko incident, and to force it on others through her mutual killing games and the various riots that broke out across Hope’s Peak Academy and the world at large following the distribution of the Despair Video. Because she seldom thinks her plans through all the way through to the end and occasionally decides to change them at a moment's notice, she is rather dangerous and much more threatening than her tiny frame would suggest.

Wish:

Having filled one world with enough despair to bring most of human civilization to ruin, Junko thought for a moment in her tightly-sealed control room deep in the bowels of Hope's Peak Academy. She could always wish for MORE despair to be brought up the world, she thought, but this world was already overflowing with it, so what was the point? But then a thought struck her—there must be who-knows-how-many worlds beyond her own; she didn’t know the details but she had read something like that in a book... or was it a manga? Oh, who cares! There had to be another world out there she could fill with despair—and so she grinned widely and opened her mouth: “I wish to be able to spread despair to a completely new and virgin world! Doesn’t that sound awesome!?”

Passive ability:
Despair Boost

A simple manifestation of Junko’s desire to spread despair that increases her physical prowess based on how much despair she and her allies are feeling at the moment. The power of this ability scales and maxes out at a 1.5x increase to Junko's strength and speed.

Active ability:
Fog of Despair
Wishing to fill a new world with despair manifests itself as a fog that radiates from her person up to a range of roughly five feet and persists for about thirty seconds before dissipating as a normal fog would. Those within the fog begin to feel any negative emotions they might have on their mind become heavier and heavier until they either become unable to fight or manage to shake off the despair, in which case they cannot be affected by the fog again for 24 hours.

Weapon:
A Monokuma doll with various weapons hidden in its body, including a gun in its mouth and blades in its limbs. Not the most practical weapon for sure, but in Junko’s own messed up way of seeing the world, using a plush toy as a weapon is a source of despair in the “How did she hurt me with that!” sort of way. The weapons that emerge from it are more or less random and occasionally hurt Junko herself.

Sample:

This new world was an odd one to Junko, the sky was blue, the people -seemed- happy, and she had been roped into battling monsters for the greater good like she had been thrown into the role of "heroine" and had the costume to go with it. That alone made her Junko laugh, everything here was just as pristine, as free of despair! as she could of have ever wished for. But her, the Ultimate Despair, the girl who had caused the near end of the world as most people know it, was acting for the common good! It was enough for Junko to clutch the half-soft-half-dangerous plush toy she had been given as a weapon tight and her eyes roll back into her head in near ecstasy.

"I'm overflowing with despair!" she nearly yelled.

As she calmed down from her high Junko spoke again. "Me playing the heroine? Why didn't I Think of it before!...Probably because of all that hope involved, but still!"

Character name: Junko Enoshima
Age: 19ish
Canon: Dangan Ronpa
Canonpoint: Pre-Death in Dangan Ronpa 1

Background:
http://danganronpa.wikia.com/wiki/Junko_Enoshima
Personality:

Blessed with the ability to analyze the world around her at the highest possible level, she soon became bored of how everything worked. She found solace from this issue by devoting herself to the concept of despair, which she saw as a means of throwing chaos and randomness into a world that was otherwise to boring for her to deal with.

Mind you, this doesn't mean that despair is her MO, life's goal, or even philosophy; rather, the very concept of despair, as Junko recounts during the end of Danganronpa 2's sixth chapter, is itself the core of her being. Every facet of Junko's life is devoted to inspiring despair in others and even in herself. Indeed, every calculated plan and effort she carries out, such as the Killing School Life games, are driven by this purpose as well. There is no real reason that Junko is obsessed with despair; rather, it is just simply who she is. Interestingly enough, in the context of the novel Danganronpa/zero, it is stated that despair is actually Junko's personal hope as well, in the very backward sense that, for Junko, experiencing hope is in its own right a form of despair. Similarly, Junko also savors moments when she can transform another person's own hope into despair as well, such as in the case of Hajime Hinata, a person set up by the leadership of Hope's Peak Academy to be the Ultimate Hope, but whom Junko eventually broke by exposing him to her first killing game.

Junko's desire for despair could have easily been in vain if she didn't have the talent to spread it somehow, and in this case, the tool that allows her to do so is her vast charisma. Through sheer force of personality alone, Junko was capable of bending thousands of people to her will and philosophy without even trying. For example, she once rallied the entirety of Hope's Peak Academy's reserve student body to her cause to the point that she claimed that each and every one of them was in love with her regardless of gender. Furthermore, she was also able to cause all of these same students to rise up against Hope's Peak Academy in a rebellion that would eventually grow in size and scope until it encompassed the entire globe. All of this eventually culminated in the entirety of the reserve student body killing themselves in a mass suicide in her name.

An entire organization known as Ultimate Despair even sprung up to further Junko's philosophy and ideals. It was this group, the membership of which extended from the lowly students of Hope's Peak Academy all the way up to some of the most powerful and influential people in the world, that not only performed the grunt work of instilling despair on a ground level but also manipulated world events to make sure the flames of despair remained ever burning. Each and every member of Ultimate Despair utterly believed in Junko's view of the world and would do anything to make it a reality. So powerful was their devotion that some of members of the group went so far as to do such unspeakable things as dismembering Junko's body following her death at the end of Danganronpa 1 and then stitching her limbs onto their own bodies, or attempting to procreate with her corpse in some twisted attempt to have a child with her. All of this goes show that Junko's desire for despair and its effect on others was powerful enough to live on even after she had died.

We also see this in the case of Yasuke Matsuda, the Ultimate Neurologist, who was both Junko's childhood friend and her lover. Despite the fact that Junko did in fact love Yasuke, the only reason she had been able to sustain such a relationship was because she wanted to feel the rush of despair that would overcome her when they finally broke up. In this case, we can see the sheer lengths to which Junko is willing to go in order achieve her own twisted despair-related ends. Yasuke, in turn, who had seen the entirety of their relationship as completely legitimate and was in no way in on Junko's plot, was then killed by the woman he loved so very much in a moment that shows all too well what Junko does with people and things for which she no longer has a use.

Though Junko is the type to use people, she is also someone who rarely carries out these machinations on the front line. Whether using someone like her own sister Mukuro, whom she killed to instill despair in the both of them, or the reserve students to carry out her will, or hiding behind the mask of the robotic bear Monokuma for most of both of her killing games, Junko is someone would rather sit back and manipulate others from afar rather then doing it herself in person. In fact, in both killing games, the only time she finally reveals herself is at the last possible moment. Though this might be for the sake of simply letting others do her dirty work for her, it also stands to reason that revealing herself as the mastermind behind all of the murders, mayhem, and other horrible things that the thirty or so students she had embroiled in these games have seen would have the most impact and thus allow her to harvest the largest possible amount of despair from the situation.

As a person, Junko cares for others only as much as they are useful to her. As seen in the case of Yasuke above, other people are nothing but tools for Junko to use as she sees fit in an effort to experience despair herself and spread it throughout the world. This isn't to say that Junko is incapable of feeling close to other people; quite the contrary, really, as it is mentioned several times that she actually did feel love for Yasuke and Mukuro, but these sort of feelings, though genuine, are a means to an end for Junko as she pursues these sort of bonds with the ultimate intention of feeling the despair they can instill in her when they are ultimately broken.

Junko is shown in-universe to be a very intelligent person. The conniving sort, Junko typically uses her intellect to arrange incredibly complicated scenarios to further her own goals of invoking despair in herself and others, such as is seen with both of her killing games and her plot in Danganronpa/zero, which involved creating a false personality within herself with its own will and persona, and then crushing it with the sole intent of seeing just how that would feel. This can also be seen in the way in which Junko views her various plans, in that she also always plays with intent of never truly losing, as no matter what sort of outcome may come from her machinations, she always “wins” in the sense that she is able to derive some feeling of despair from the situation. For example, in the case of her killing games, by achieving her stated endgame goal—that of having the student's of Hope's Peak kill one another—she is able to derive joy from having been able to smash their hope and turn them against one another in the process; however, on the other side of things, even if she were to lose such a game, she would still feel the despair of having her plans dashed against the rocks, which, for her, is still a victory.

Wish:
Junko’s wish would be “To experience a kind of despair she’s never felt before, one bigger, more terrible and more despair inducing then any she’d ever seen before!” This was fulfilled by summoning her to Nyoi-cho, where the possibility of her becoming a Nightmare or Witch, kinds of despair she could never find in her own world, exists.

Passive ability:
Aura of Despair: Anyone within five feet of Junko will have any negative emotions they are currently experiencing amplified three fold and feel listless, depressed, and lose their will to do much of anything until they leave the abilities area of effect. Even after leaving its effective range, the effect lingers for several minutes.

This ability is a manifestation of Junko’s desire to inflict despair on herself and others given physical form.

Active ability:
Summon Monokuma:
Junko can summon 1-2 Monokuma robots by concentrating and saying a magical spell in giberish. These robots are not particularly strong, but have razor sharp claws and explode when defeated. When the Monokuma summoned by this ability are defeated, Junko cannot summon anymore for ten minutes.

As Monokuma is a symbol of Junko’s desire to spread despair, even to this new world, it is only natural she can create them at will due to her wish.

Weapon:
A massive hammer with Monokuma’s face on its front end.

Junko is both a walking spoiler and a bit triggery as a character, so feel free to leave a comment here and I'm sure we can work something out.
